Description
Aniseed (also known as Anise) has a distinctive flavour and appears in a vast array of food and drink. Aniseed is the main flavouring in a variety of Mediterranean spirits including pastis, raki, sambuca and ouzo. It is used in cuisines around the world to give the final dish a sweet, aromatic fragrance, and is also widely used in baking.
USES: Aniseed can be added to the dough for baked goods as well as to the fruit filling of a crumble or pie. It’s distinctive flavour also complements minced meat well.
